ENGLISH LESSON- Teacher' comments at template pelaporan PBD

Assalammualaikum and hi teachers.

How are you feeling today? Hopefully everyone in a good health. 

I have done several  comments  for my Year 1 pupils. I think, these comments might be helpful to other teachers who are busy and lack of time. It doesn't mean, by taking other's remarks, we are weak or work-shy. It's just an idea generator especially when we have no idea of what to write.

Let's read out the list of comments. If your pupils have the attitude, just copy and paste into the template pelaporan. Save your time. The old folks said, "Time is Gold"  hehehehehe...

Performance Level	Suggested comments/remarks
Performance Level  1	Able to cooperate and tolerate with members in the group. In doing individual tasks, he needs extra guidance. His desire to do the work is an added value for him.
	Need some guidance in doing group works and individual works. He needs guidance in listening, speaking, writing and reading.
	Have interests in doing group works. Need extra guidance especially in writing. He needs extra writing exercise at home.
	Have interests in learning English. Enjoying the group activities especially Language Art. He needs extra guidance and one to one coaching when doing the individual tasks.
Performance Level 2	Willing to be a leader. He needs guidance in every lesson. He doesn't have a proper stationery to be used. Sometimes he takes his friends stationery just to use them. Parents should prepare pencils, rubber and colour pencils to be used properly in the class.
	He always be a follower rather than a leader. He needs reading and writing exercises more as well as listening skills in order to be able to focus in the class.
	She's helpful and considerate. Need some guidance in doing the writing and reading. She also needs supports in listening and speaking.
	Sometimes, he's willing to be a leader.  He needs guidance in doing the group tasks and also the individual tasks. He has the efforts and desire to learn.
	He's willing to work in group. He needs encouragement in speaking, therefore teacher has to approach him one to one.Need guidance when speaking and reading.
	She's a follower. She needs extra guidance in doing the exercises. She requires repetition to retain information of the activity.
	Sometimes, he's willing to be a leader.  He needs guidance in doing the group tasks and also the individual tasks. He has the efforts and desire to learn.
	Has the ability to be a follower. She needs extra guidance in group activities and individual tasks. She needs extra time in doing writing exercise.
	Want to be a leader. Need extra guidance in every lesson. Sometimes, he did not bring the stationery such as pencil. He needs extra writing and reading English words.
Performance Level 3	Always be the leader in the group. She conquers all the works. She's too careful in doing her worksheets, and need extra time to complete them.
	She has efforts in doing the given tasks. But sometimes she did not bring the stationery such as colour pencils. She's able to do reading and writing with guidance.
	She's a follower that listen and follow teacher's instruction but she requires supports for interaction with her classmates. She needs extra guidance in doing the tasks.
	He's friendly and brave. He works well as a follower. Needs guidance in reading and writing.
	A group leader with guidance. Sometimes, he's not 100% in the class, because his mind is thinking about something else.He needs extra times in completing his works individually. He needs supervision from parents at home due to incomplete exercises.
	She's a follower. Need to develop her leadership skills by giving her responsible to be a leader. She needs guidance in reading and writing.
	Able to work with others in the group. Need some guidance in doing individual tasks.
	Willing to be a leader. He works well with others. Need guidance when doing tasks. Sometimes, he's not completing the task at requested time. Need further practices in writing
	A kind person who works best as a follower. He needs extra times in doing his works in the class. He has an effort to learn. He has to read a lot of English books because he's reading fluency is limited.
Performance Level 4	Have the willing to be a leader, but sometimes he conquers every task. Sometimes he's moody, sometimes he's good. He's good at listening and speaking but need extra exercises in reading and writing.
	He's the group leader but he needs teacher's instruction to be a good one. He learns fast, however needs more exercise in reading and writing.
	Able to cooperate with other members in the group. Have efforts to do the given tasks, and willing to ask for details.
	Has the ability to be a leader and also a follower. He's willing to cooperate well, even though he's not the group leader. Has efforts in doing the exercise, but he needs some guidance in reading.
	Has the willing to be a leader. She seeks information from teacher and friends in order to complete any task.
	Able to understand the instructions very well. A well-mannered and responsible pupil. He requires supports to interact with his classmates and teacher.
	Active pupil in the class. But she needs guidance in doing some tasks especially reading and writing. Very hardworking, and willing to help sweeping the floor although it's not her duty.
	She has the efforts in learning. Although she's quiet in the class, she's able to do some works. She works best as a follower.
	She's able to cooperate and tolerate with the members in the group. She does the given tasks with some guidance.
	Always be a leader. Willing to learn. Doing the work's given on time. Can write well but have difficulties in reading. He has to read a  lot of English books to be a fluent reader.
Performance Level 5	Can work well with the other members in the group. Always be a group leader. She's a fast learner and willing to guide her friends.
	Have leadership skills and willing to learn new things. He's responsible and eager to do the grouping activities.

	She can be a leader and also a follower. She always complete the tasks at requested time. She's confident in reading at the front.
	She works best as a follower. She's a good listener, and learn fast. She shows respects to other members and teacher.
	Very independent group leader and a good listener too. He focus well when doing the tasks given and willing to ask if he doesn't know.
	He is a follower, he follows the group leader’s instruction very well. He needs supports in order to get involved in the activity. He's reading and writing are fit for Year 1 pupils.
	He's an active leader and follower. Sometimes he's playing in the class while teacher is teaching, however, when teacher grabs his attention, he would pay attention and achieve the learning objectives. His reading is good. His handwriting requires improvement.

Performance Level 6	Always step forward to be a leader. Have interests in English and willing to help other members in the group. Shows an exemplary behaviour to the classmates.
	Has the leadership skills. Very fluent reader with various English words. He needs further exercises in writing, just to prepare him a neat and readable handwriting.
	She's able to be a leader and a follower. She knows how to act when she's a leader and when she's not. Has the passion in learning English. Able to listen, speak, read and write well.
	She's a confident girl. She shows a positive attitude to her friends and teacher. She's willing to help others. In term of leadership skills, she always be a follower rather than a leader.
	She works best as a follower, as she rarely act as the group leader. She always completes the daily exercises in a timely manner. Her writing is very nice and able to write without teacher's interference. She's an independent girl with the efforts to help her friend in need. Well done.

Are those comments helpful? 

As far as I know, writing comments should have positive impacts to pupils and their parents. I try to be very positive here, but I just could not hide the improper attitude. I prefer commenting from heart to heart. I am the teacher and I am also a mother. I  do feel what a mother wants from the  teacher's point of view.

 I prefer writing comments about their leadership skills. At this age, pupils should be trained to be a leader, and also a follower. If not, they would be selfish and disrespectful to their leader one day.  By the way, we have 6 years in primary school to train them.
